Community Solar In Kitimat

SolShare is exploring a community owned solar project in Kitimat, BC.  The 50 kW solar array would be owned by local residents and other people in BC.

The owners of a retail/office building in central downtown Kitimat (360 – 369 City Centre) will host the project on their rooftop, and the tenants of the building (currently Vitality Spa and Clinic and Tamitik Status of Women Free Store) will purchase the solar power to provide their heating and cooling needs with a high efficiency electric heat pump.
